Access Profiles
If you offer multiple VAS services facilitated by Electrum, then you can manage your channels and VAS offerings through the Access Profiles feature in the Electrum Console.
An access profile is configured per payment channel and determines which VAS service that channel can trade. There is a name and an associated ID for each channel.
- For a retailer with multiple stores, each individual store may have its own ID and associated access profile, depending on the VAS products enabled for that store (i.e., different stores may offer different VAS services).
- For digital channels, such as bank apps, there will be one access profile per channel.
Each access profile requires a secure PIN, or secret, that enables the channel (gives it access) to trade these specific VAS products.
Depending on the individual user permission levels, you can use the Access Profiles feature to:
- Search for and view a profile.
- Create, edit, or delete profiles.
- Enable or disable channels for trade.
- Configure which VAS services a channel is able to trade.
- View or re-generate secrets.
User permissions
There are different permission levels for users.
- Level 1 - view-only permissions.
- Level 2 - can view, create, edit, or delete profiles.
- Level 3 - can view, create, edit, or delete profiles, and also view or generate new secrets.
